Faithtoberfest returns to a crisp autumn night outside of FaithTree’s home, the Upper Room. On October 10 at 6:30 pm we will have a special, in-person and live streamed festival of incredible music from gifted artists all around our area, entertaining skits and terrific gift card prizes! Come in person if you can, because we will have delicious food as part of the festivities, but either way, please RSVP for this year’s event and relive last year’s fantastic festivities, below.
We are called every day to pray on all occasions and to constantly pray for God’s people (Ephesians 6:18). This Spring, more than 600 people from all over responded to the call to gather and pray at the FaithTree Spring Online Prayer Walk that we participated in alongside FaithTree’s other sponsoring churches. It was an incredible, encouraging day that we know the Lord used in powerful ways and one we are eager to repeat. Let’s join together to pray in Jesus’s name once again at our second Online Prayer Walk today, August 20! We are excited to see what God will do through this time!
The wisdom of the world says: “Get ahead at all costs.” In Mark 10:35-45, James and John tried that when they asked Jesus for a promotion: “When you take your throne, can we have thrones on each side of you?”. Jesus confronted their worldly attitudes by teaching them a crazy strategy for success: Instead of “Get ahead at all costs” Jesus told them to “Serve no matter the cost.”
We are called to be people who show love God and love of people. That is what we should strive to be known for, not all the other things we often grasp onto.
God’s vision church didn’t start with the church building, or even with Christian environments: it started with the world! In John 3:16 we learn that “For God so loved the WORLD…”. Many times we view the world as broken, but, in reality, they are lost and wounded.
Jim Krenning lights the third (“Joy”) candle as we continue through a special 52 Verses, 52 Books, 52 Weeks journey through Advent. Jim takes us to the Gospel of John to think about the joy Jesus offers each of us as a free gift.
John calls us to be vigilant to spiritual threats, offering a message that went against the flow.
Join us for a special New Year’s Day Steadfast broadcast we wrap up the journey through John 6 that we’ve been taking over Advent during our Sunday night series. Jim presents us with an important question: why do we want to do what we do at church?
We can miss the more urgent thing because we get distracted by the immediate. As we begin exploring John 5, Jesus encourages us not to miss what’s truly important.
Lots of things claim to be of value — but which ones really are? Which ones are just so much “Monopoly money”? Pastor Tim explores the question as we continue in John 5 tonight.
